Dr Donna Swift - Educator and Researcher
Over the last seven years Dr Donna Swift has focused on young women’s use of violent and anti-social behaviour. In 2005 she developed and piloted the ‘Turning Point Violence Intervention Programme for Girls’ but became frustrated by the lack of funding to sustain such a vital programme. Realising New Zealand’s need for in-depth research on this topic, and working alongside Stopping Violence Services Nelson; she was contracted as the principal researcher for The Girls’ Project, a recently completed two-year investigation of young women’s use of violence in the Tasman Police District. Recognised as a leading expert in the field of girls’ violence and anti-social behaviour, Dr Swift has been invited to give international and national presentations and training workshops.
Contact Dr Donna Swift directly to discuss her availability for speaking engagement other than those listed, further training options, programme development, consultation services and social research.
